Fattoria di Maiano

We made the move to Fattoria di Maiano yesterday afternoon and the dress came with us. Made in California, bought in Hingham and worn in Italy I love the New World to Old World connection.

Fattoria di Maiano, the site of both Friday's welcome dinner and Saturday's ceremony and celebration is a working olive and wine farm covering many acres of the rolling terrain just outside Florence. So here we are, settled and awaiting the rest of our guests.

We four, Lauren, Marc, Carolyn and I had a memorable dinner last night at a Cave di Maiano, just up the street. The owner chef presented us with a chef's choice of antipasti , followed by good wine and great food
